Organization / Terms / Tooling manufacturing

The term "tooling manufacturing" includes designing manufacturing - repairing or assembling for the purpose of selling tools, dies, moulds, jigs, fixtures, gauges, machinery, machining systems, robotics, automation equipment, models, patterns, general jobbing machine shop products and cutting tools. Restricting membership to any tooling manufacturing and industry suppliers as associate members has assured that the Association will always be devoted to manufacturing in the tooling and machining sectors.

In order to reduce the time and costs of the products development in the sand casting process, we carried out a study based on tooling manufacturing with a new rapid prototyping process. This tooling manufacturing and evolution allowed the adequacy of the geometry used for the simulation to the tooling employed physically in the production. This allowed a reduction of the wall thickness to 4mm and retained reliable manufacturing process. In order to validate the Tooling manufacturing parts design of the tooling manufacturing, the company uses layer manufacturing technologies to make geometrical prototypes. After it has been validated, it can serve to obtain functional prototypes with a lost pattern process. Both are used to allow the entire group involved in the project to validate the solutions, by the application of the concurrent engineering concepts for rapid product development.

These tooling manufacturing improvements are nowadays included in the company culture. The next step for the industrialization time and costs reduction is the introduction of the rapid tooling technologies. For sand casting, the processes frequently used are the stereo lithography, powder melting, layer cutting out, layer machining, and 3D machining. Specialists in manufacturing mould tools, jigs, fixtures, precision machining & spark eroding scheduling a flexible system with our audit program, assocition engineer work.
